Made from high quality sources like whey and milk isolates, our baR1 Protein Bars provide 20 grams of protein with ample amino acids to help your muscles refuel and recover after exercise. Each baR1 contains no more than 5 grams of net carbs, including 21% of the Daily Value for dietary fiber, to satisfy hunger without energy-sapping sugar crashes. The rich protein cores and velvety smooth dark, milk, or white chocolaty coatings taste dessert-like, but lack virtually all of the sugar. So now you can have your candy, and eat it (without guilt) too.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BAR1 PROTEIN AND BAR1 CRUNCH BARS?
Nutritionally, baR1 Protein Bars and baR1 Crunch Bars are very similar. Both provide 20 grams of complete protein from premium whey and milk ingredients. Each is high in fiber, though the baR1 Crunch Bars contain more than the baR1 Protein Bars. Neither contains gluten, more than 3 grams of added sugar, or greater than 9 grams of total fat. They even have very similar serving sizes (56-60g). The biggest differences between the two types of baR1 bars are the textures and shapes. baR1 Protein Bars are fully-coated with a thin, velvety smooth texture, whereas baR1 Crunch Bars are thicker, bottom-coated, and tantalizingly crisp. They’re both delicious, so you really can’t go wrong.
IS BAR1 SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS?
Yes, but not strict vegans. baR1 Crunch Bar contains high-quality, complete proteins from premium whey and milk-based ingredients.
WHAT ARE COMPLETE PROTEINS?
Nutritionally complete proteins contain all the essential amino acids (EAAs) that our bodies require, in proportions sufficient to maintain good health, as well as muscle recovery and development in people who exercise. ‘Incomplete proteins,’ including collagen, gelatin, and many vegetable-source proteins, lack one, or more, of these vital building blocks and must be combined with other protein containing foods to provide all of the necessary amino acids.
WHAT ARE NET CARBS?
‘Net carbs,’ or active carbs, include sugar and starch molecules that are readily absorbed and contribute roughly 4 calories per gram. Net carbohydrates are calculated by subtracting unavailable, or poorly available, (read: low-to-no calorie) carbohydrates such as dietary fiber and sugar alcohols from the total carbohydrate content. Net Carbs = Total Carbohydrate – Dietary Fiber – Sugar Alcohols.
I purchased boxes of chocolate fudge and peanut butter. Both flavors taste very good, aren't excessively sweet, and haven't caused any gut problems. The flatter shape is easier to chew than other high-protein/low-sugar bars, and each bite provides a nice amount of coating.
